1. WurstFest - November 4th - 13th
A "Ten Day Salute to Sausage," Wurstfest has been drawing visitors to the G=
erman-influenced Hill Country town of New Braunfels for over four decades. =
In the early days, when it was still known as Sausage Festival, the event d=
rew a few thousand. Today, well over 100,000 people attend the event annual=
ly. The event typically runs from late October through mid-November.

2. Fredericksburg Oktoberfest - September = 30th - October 2nd
A traditional German Oktoberfest in Texas' most famous German settlement - =
Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg Oktoberfest offers plenty of authentic G=
erman food, music, artisans and entertainment.

3. Beethoven Halle Oktoberfest - October 2, 3, 9 & 10
Held at San Antonio's Beethoven Halle und Garten, Oktoberfest is a traditio=
nal German celebration with a full compliment of food, music, drink, dance =
and entertainment.

4. Texas Renaissance Festival - Weekends Oct. 8th - Nov. 27th
A six-week trip back to the 16th century, the Texas Renaissance Festival fe=
atures over 200 daily performances, 300 arts and crafts shops, 60 food and =
beverage shops, nightly fireworks and more than 3,000 costumed characters s=
trolling the grounds. Although it is not technically an "Oktoberfest," the =
opening weekend (Oct. 11-12) of the Renaissance festival is themed as Oktob=
erfest and the event covers the entire month.

5. Lancaster Oktoberfest - October 7th & 8th
The Lancaster OktoberFest offers something for everyone - a Preview Party w=
ith seated dinner on Friday night, children activities and open celebration=
on Saturday, Bavarian dance performances, live music, authentic German cui=
sine, root beer on tap, custom-brewed beer plus many Oktoberfest favorites =
imported from Germany, arts and crafts vendors, and more. An added bonus is=
the fact it all takes place just 15 minutes south of Dallas.

6. Southlake Oktoberfest - Sept. 30th - Oct. 2nd
Held on the Southlake Town Square, Oktoberfest is a family oriented event w=
ith plenty of activities for adults and kids alike, including the crowd ple=
asing Weiner Dog Race.

7. Addison Oktoberfest - Sept. 15th - 18th

Although it's held in September (to coincide with the opening of the Munich=
Oktoberfest), the Addison Oktoberfest is one of the biggest and best Oktob=
erfests in the nation.
