WurstFest - November 4th - 13th A "Ten Day Salute to Sausage," Wurstfest has been drawing visitors to the G= erman-influenced Hill Country town of New Braunfels for over four decades. = In the early days, when it was still known as Sausage Festival, the event d= rew a few thousand. Today, well over 100,000 people attend the event annual= ly. The event typically runs from late October through mid-November.

Texas Renaissance Festival - Weekends Oct. 8th - Nov. 27th A six-week trip back to the 16th century, the Texas Renaissance Festival fe= atures over 200 daily performances, 300 arts and crafts shops, 60 food and = beverage shops, nightly fireworks and more than 3,000 costumed characters s= trolling the grounds. Although it is not technically an "Oktoberfest," the = opening weekend (Oct. 11-12) of the Renaissance festival is themed as Oktob= erfest and the event covers the entire month.

Lancaster Oktoberfest - October 7th & 8th The Lancaster OktoberFest offers something for everyone - a Preview Party w= ith seated dinner on Friday night, children activities and open celebration= on Saturday, Bavarian dance performances, live music, authentic German cui= sine, root beer on tap, custom-brewed beer plus many Oktoberfest favorites = imported from Germany, arts and crafts vendors, and more. An added bonus is= the fact it all takes place just 15 minutes south of Dallas.
