Austin Texas has another great program to help you save the environment and to put a few bucks in your pocket as well.

If you have an old refrigerator with a standard size of 14-27 cubic feet and it is currently working. You can call 1-800-452-8685 and arrange for Austin Energy to come pick it up and give you a $50 REBATE to boot.  So far they have collected over 15,000 fridges and 2 of those are from me.  It is a great thing for the environment and plus when a major company charges you 50 bucks to deliver this can help offset the cost. 

The refrigerator is an appliance that uses most of your energy so when you buy new and recycle you help to save some money on electricity.
